Hi all you U Keen Fans out there!

I just have one thing to say...BRING BACK J-CASH!!! U Keen have been playing secretly without him as they are sick of playing in his shadow. As president of the U Keen Fan club, I say we need our number one player back. He really is the heart and soul of the team, and the ladies love him too. When people talk about Franchise players the first names that some to mind are Kobe, Nash and J-Cash. We can't let this legend sit at work, while the rest of the "team" play.

When it comes to making payments in this comp, you can't do it without Cash, J-Cash

look here, i am friendly towards you tim, and i know i act a little silly now and then, but i have often caught you acting in a silly manner... i am more than happy to let a few upside and over lay-ins drop through the cylinder with you(you know that). we can practice timeless fadeshots and gravity defying roll-over pull up hooks til the cows come home.-(just like the good old days).
however, i think it would be beneficial to our gameplay if we did not allow ray ray to participate in any of this. i have a feeling he will only have trash(junk) to bring to the proverbial table... his tip-junk during the the maitland game was at best slovenly. i have never seen a dunk that has made me feel depressed on the dunkee's behalf. despite the schoolgirl-like crush i have on ray ray i would like to let the public know that he should really try to lift his maturity level.

Hey Super Kool 223... Are you retarded or something mate??? You came on to a MANLY Basketball website and were suprised to see some praise on it for a MANLY team. It doesn't sound too irregular to me.
Then you proceeded to pay out the youth men team saying how you were going to pretty much kick their asses. If you havnen't seen it yet mate you might want to check out the NSW Basketball site and take a look at the table. It basically says that the youth men won by 110 points and have a win percentage of 523.1.
The only tears that will be on the manly team and crowds faces will be those from laughing so hard at how much they beat ur team of "well seasoned, hard nosed, down right nasty(in a bad way) veteran, gangster (in a bad way) style ballers" by.
Oh and spelling realise with a Z really did give the word a bit of a zing and i'm sure that 1 scared the youth men team. Mate if u had real-eyes you would realise after watching the youth men that you need to get back on the court and practice instead of wasting your time trash talkin. Coz the youth men will be out to get ya.
I'm out.

look, this nonsense has got to cease- immediately!
I've had it up to here! Manly this, manly that- whatever!
Your all so far up on your high horses that you dont put in the necessary time to learn fundamental manoeuvres like the jimmy dollan shake n bake or the "dip, dive and socialise" baseline floater hook.
The constant skylarking that seems to be ever so present in the youth league team, will quickly dwindle and diminish when i bring my team of well seasoned, hard nosed, down right nasty(in a bad way) veteran, gangster (in a bad way) style ballers into the narrabeen district.
i can just picture the tears/terror on ALL their faces as i pop a 'turbo sexophonic delight mid-range up and under lay in' through the cylinder. U better realize! - (P.s. the spelling of the last word was not a grammatical mistake- it is mispelt purposely to give stronger meaning and some what of a tough factor or zing, if you may, to the above passage).

I don't think Brian's comments are biased... Youth men 136 - 26 win out at Penrith.... word

From: U KEEEEEEEN?
Date & Time: 24/3/06, 8:27 PM
Well. Wasnt that unbiased. youth league phh talk about U KEEN!!! They will win because they can beat youth league and the Hunter/Singapore whatever Pirates. And heres why

Tristan "96.5 acutally" Medway- He deffinately has the bodyweight to overpower anyone in the L.Tristan idolises Daniel Ewing ,and that is evident in his game. With the silky smooth hands of a brick. But posessing a devastating array of post moves, and Dan "Hamma" Houden type range , left or right , tris has got you covered. He reminds me of a young Vin Baker...Overrated in his time
Shaun "Shadowface" Tomlinson- He may look young but dont let this babyfaced assassin fool you, or youll be looking silly on the floor with his deadly jumpshot and seemlessly endless range, a hustler on both sides of the floor he reminds me of a young Ron Artest before the crack.
James "Small Head Actually" - The team leader of U KEEN, James posseses all the skills needed to make it to the next level. Lightning fast crossover and ferrocious defence , despite a season plagued by injury , James is still putting up numbers that put the rest to shame. He reminds me of a young Chris Dudley, but dont let the small head fool you he has a big heart.
Iain "P.S Im Gay" Todd- The reigning Manly-Warringah ABA Defensive Player of the Year , brings some WOW BOOM SHAZAAM KAPOOW to an already explosive team, with high flying super slamajammas and defence that puts everyone on lockdown , Iain is similar to a young Simon Dunn.
Luke "Navy?Nissie?" Oxley- With a head that big somethings gotta be stored up there and thats just what this short hairy man has, His seemlingy endless knowledge of the game puts most to shame, with an ice cold persona he can always be counted on at the end of games for a dagger, or turnover. Luke is a real student of the game , and despite missing games due to top secret super alpha gamma delta classified missions, he always returns to deliver the goods. He reminds me of a young Dirk Nowitzki
Mark "??????????pass???????" Sommerville- Just because he looks like ronald , dont think that he wont make you the clown with his deadly shooting and supreme court vision, Mark truly is a gift to basketball. He reminds me of a young Yinka Dare.
Dean " Shoot first ask Later" Houden- The man with the trigger on the pulse of every U KEEN game, Dean has the all round game that overshadows his older brothers performances in the past, no longer is the NBISC the house that HAMMA built, ITS THE PLACE THAT DEAN OWNS..
well thats it for me
peace

From: Brian G
Date & Time: 22/3/06, 10:38 AM
The Youth League Mens Team this year will be unstoppable. And here are the reason why: basically the players have a lot of game (could beat the Hunter Pirates). They've got: Kevin White: fresh off his awesome all round display and the u20 National Championships in Perth in which he captained them to the Gold! There's really nothing Kevin can't do, reminds me of a modern day Oscar Robertson, score, pass, rebound, defend, an average of a triple double isn't out of the question for this mercurial talent.
Mitch Cork: Well i guess the word the sums up this explosive athlete is, WOW!. This guy is fast and skilled, and has enough flair to be a baller from the 70s. A cross between the lightning moves of Allen Iverson and the crazy skills of Pete "the pistol" Maravich, this player is as inventive as they come.
Andre Radan: This teams play maker, suprisingly quick, with an eye for the killer pass. If this team was a firecracker, Andre would be the fuse. He gets the team going on the break, and with the speed of the players around him this season, parallels can be drawn between this team and the showtime Lakers of the Magic Johnson era, except Andre can shoot it and Magic couldn't.
Dean Edwards: A beast on the boards with some silky skills to boot, Dean has all the attributes of a modern day Power Forward, speed, strength, balance and some uncanny ball skills. His shot needs a bit of work, but when you take the ball to the bucket like Dean who really needs to shoot. His combination of skills presents the nearest resemblance to the tenacious Charles Barkley who's play could be likened to seeming oxymoron of a ferocious ballet dancer. Aggressive yet graceful, this kid can play.
Brad Smith: Simply an animal, bigger and stronger than any other player in the league, Brad manhandles any player that matches up against him. Rim rattling dunks, and high flying swats, and monstrous rebounds are what characterises Brad. He is the guardian of the key, and if you're the opposition your best bet is to not try to get to the bucket when Brad is around, you're liable to leave the stadium in pain and in shame, after being owned by big bad Brad Smith. However, Brad possesses a post game, that can be likened to Kevin McHale (yet his strength is more like Wilt Chamberlain), some gorgeous up and under's and sweet little fadeaway. You'd be a fool if you thought Brad was all muscle and no skill, his post moves are beautiful to watch.
Joel Price: Back and bigger than ever. Joel is a beast on the block, you literally can't get him off there if he wants to be there, yet when he gets the ball he knows what to do with it. He has the softest of soft touches around the basket, as well as a silky smooth mid range jumper. Comparisons to rik smits are not unwarranted.
Mitch Smith: Flying a little under the radar this season, with no good reason. Mitch has all the skills and puts hit body on the line. Basically, Mitch knows how to play the game. He'll take a charge at one end then come down and pull down an monster offensive board, set up the offense, cross you up and drain the three or hit you with a sweet behind the back pass. Reminds me of a young Ron Harper, when he was an all-star with the Cavs.
Daniel Ewing: A mid-range jumper that is the envy of many, Daniel idolises Graham Dann, and similarities between the two are obvious. This guy hustles on defence and can score the ball. An athlete is the best way to describe him.
Jacob Braddy: A scorer of the same ilk as Chris Mullin. The best shooter i have ever seen. Jacob has the ability to put up big numbers in a hurry, not just from long range, he has a vast array of moves with which he can score, the Tony Parkeresque floater is my personal favourite.
Phil Kanis: Elegant with and eye for the score, Phil oozes the euroball that Tony Kukoc came to personify. Phil can take the ball to the bucket and those of you that have hung around after a manly game his athleticism is there for all to see, displaying an array of post-game dunks that most can only dream of.
Yeeka Yau: A baller, that could be straight off the street ball courts of Rucker Park, New York City, Yeeka will blow by you with ease if given even a sniff of a chance. For me, he is the second coming of the streeball legend, Rafer "Skip to my Lou" Alston.
Steve Fle: Another player that oozes euroball. A 2 guard in the frame of a big man, Steve possesses and uncanny baseline jumpshot. When i think of Steve's game, i think, Pau Gasol. Steve has what it takes.
Bill Greenfield: Defensive aggression, Bill plays hard all game. He'll get some steals, he'll get some boards, and he'll put you out of your comfort zone. Bill is Andrei Kirilenko. An all purpose game, with few weaknesses.
That's it from Brain G. Look out for these boys this year, they can take it all the way.
I'm out. Peace.
Brian G.

Manly youth league here are my problems with them winning his season. Ray Ray is a rookie, who tries to bring beer into bars with them, Mitch Cork just signed a recording deal with shady records, Dre was caught kissing dean behind the CUrl CUrl dunnys, The smith brothers told me that they will only pass to one another. Phil dunks too much, Steve dosen't dunk enough, Ewing will be away for superman tapings. I didn't appreciate Dan Ewing was such a loud defender! Or did Nath mean "Hard-nosed"? I look forward to seeing the Sea Eagles Youth Men defend their title this year. An ABA v Yth Men challenge would be interesting, but perhaps it should be saved for the end of season to avoid any serious injuries before finals. Perhaps the two mens teams could play each other for the right to take on a touring College team. Speaking of the ABA men, does anyone know who's in the team this year?

From: Keep it up boys. from Nath

Youth Men undefeated last season what champs. Once again proving to be the Premier team in Manly Warringah. Coach retains all but 3 players in the quest for back 2 back state titles. You would have to say projected starters would be.... PG Andre Radan SG Kev White, easily the most dominant back court in the state. Drible, finish, defend, pass theres nothing they cant do - well except dunk. SF Half man half amazing Mitch Cork PF Dean Edwards and the Big Fella Brad Smith at Centre . 6th man probably will be either guard Danny Ewing who will rotate in for any of the guards. In this smaller line up dont be suprised to see him match up on bigger opposition. If he can play with more poise in his offence to compliment his hard noised defence we will see him do well.Another player that you'll see early is the very underated Joel Price who is an outstanding offensive player. However slow footwork at the other end saw him play a back up roll.
. Look out for Jacob Braddy and Mitch Smith also. This season promises to be a big jump from under 18's but they are more then good enough.
Goodluck lads lets see another entertaining season.
I would love to see a mid season ABA men Versus youth League this year. I think ABA would probably get there in the end but the lads may just suprise them. If anyone else would like to see that pls email in and tell MWBA.

From all reports the Youth Men are ready for another good season under Coach Curt Forrester. The team has lost some big guns in Dan Houden, Jye Collins,Dan Hobin and Rad Radan however they retain starters Dean Edwards & shooting specialist Mark McDaid. Exciting guards Daniel Ewing and Andre Radan return looking to put up big numbers this season with the increase of minutes. New blood Kevin White will have a challenge replacing Hamma Houden as the teams primary 3 point shooter but he is extremely talented. To round off the core six players Coach will be relying on Big Brad Smith to dominate the block with his wide frame. Trials have been positive and role players are making themselves known. They will no doubt push the top players to play at their best every week. Goodluck boys and all other senior teams.

All reports for the men’s ABA team are positive. Bit of fresh blood and an absolute tone of raw talent should see Dan Hobin make his first season debut in the Marron and White ABA team. Dan Trout has had a big 15 month off season and word is he’s training harder than ever and will be sure to set the court alight with his hard nose determination and gift of and making 2 points out of nothing. Lee R has now moved from his cosy house in Newport and spends most of his life at Beach Bodies gym where it is rumoured that he is now tipping the scales at around 230 pounds…
Karl as usual is still parked on the couch from where he has been since the final whistle in ’04. Even with the little work done in the off season he is sure to keep you all on the edge of his seat with his amazing athleticism. Combined King and Hobin should make for a pretty entertaining game… As for BIG Wayno he has had a good recovery from that annoying shoulder injury and will be back to hopefully have a break out season in the 5 spot and continue his domination on the boards.

Did anyone see big Leeroy get up in the lane and throw one down on the weekend, WOOO that dunk was nasty... The King rising up on some poor unsuspecting weekside help, That was made into a poster child..nice win, nice game. Youth boys keep getting those W's and doing it with style..

I think that the youth team should get some love just for the pure quality that they are playing this year. They have put some enjoyable games together esp the game against the comets even know they lost it was still a great game to see. Lets face it the youth team league is the only team worth watching in manly and hey everyone loves to have a few socials why watching the youth boys doing their stuff. You know like a coupl of CC's opr a few JD's goes down a treat! keep it up boys!

Wake up to yourself mate...you are 19yr old playing youth league. Most ABA games are not worth the viewing, as the standard is not flattering, especially at Manly.

So if Manly ABA cant pull it together, do you really expect people to watch a youth league team?

What is going on MWBA ??? Just to let you know Yes the rumors are true there is infact a Youth League Mens team this year lets wake up to it.For a team thats got a 7-1 record probably 9-1 after this weekend they are getn shafted ! They were told people would come to games they'd be lucky to get 15 bums on seats. General public might turn up more if they knew the team existed. Before ABA Youth was in the Manly Daily every week but now NOTHING. The boys keep sayn maybe next week but you just know what there thinkn ! Man I hope they win the Championship and no other team does ship just so they show all of you who deserves the respect in Manly.
